Linen Closet Choices To Store Towels, Bed And Table Linen
Where do you want to keep your linen stored; all those towels, bed sheets, comforters, and table linens? In a linen closet, armoire, cabinet or cupboard? Everyone probably has one of those terms fixed in their minds as the place to store their linen; a bathroom linen cabinet may be seen as the place for bathroom towels. For all intents and purposes each label means much the same. An armoire can look like a cabinet, a cabinet can look like a cupboard; the closet can look like a ….well, closet.
Modern closet systems may be designed primarily for storing clothes but the shelving within a closet can be ideal for stacking and storing; occasionally a closet will be described as a linen closet and designed for that purpose although you may be hard pushed to tell it apart from any other closet. Anyway what does it matter what we call something; it’s what it can do for us that matters and linen closets are as good a choice as either linen cabinets or cupboards, or even linen armoire, for storing table and bed linen, towels and so on?
Some linen storage units or containers are sold as “linen closets” and it is interesting to note the disparity between them. Mind you, the same is true with closet systems in general; a cheap closet can be made of material and little more than a stacking box or it can be a large piece of closet furniture that costs hundreds or thousands of dollars.
